Windows 10 control panel missing, create a shortcut icon

By Sam Sheridan - 8th November, 2020

It's no secret that Microsoft are trying to get rid off the classic control panel within Windows 10, with the latest update of Windows 10 (20H2) as of November 2020, Microsoft seem to have gone a step further and restricted control panel access even further.

The classic control panel is still there, just a little more hidden. It's possible to access the control panel by creating a shortcut icon on your desktop with a carefully crafted string.

The solution is to create a shortcut to the apparently missing Windows 10 control panel, with the following string entered in the shortcut location. This video walks through how to create a shortcut to the now hidden Windows 10 control panel.
